Amish Circle Quilt Project - Block 104 - Pancake Supper

Block # 104 - "Pancake Supper"
Started on 8/25/11
Completed on 9/4/11
Technique: Applique'

This block in repetition would be so great for auction at a pancake supper fundraiser for a church, school, or other non-profit group.  I would enjoy working at a pancake supper or attending one!

In 1979 I started Kindergarten at Kurth Elementary in Lufkin, TX.  I stayed at that school longer than any other school I went to.  I was there through 3rd grade.  One of my favorite things about Kurth was the chili supper fundraisers they had.  They always had the fixin's for Frito pies, corn bread, and moms donated cakes to be served by the slice for dessert.  I'm pretty sure my mom made a cake or two every year.  Thanks Mudder!

Anyone missed me?  I've been on hiatus.  My Granddaddy passed away on April 12, and it really threw me for a loop.  I've also been busy working on a commissioned quilt for my friend Elizabeth.  It is actually almost done.  I have half of the binding left to hand stitch on, the label to attach, and the hanging sleeve to construct and hand stitch on.  I'm closing in.  I will be sure and share pics once it is finished.

By the way, block 105 is one of my favorites!  So be sure to stay tuned!  I'll try not to disappear again for so long.

Blessings y'all!
